Sharon Rugg, MSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (formerly a Certified Thanantologist and Registered Play Therapist) with over 30 years of experience in various Social Work fields, including mental health, college teaching, and hospice and bereavement care.  She is currently retired from her private practice as a grief counselor and play therapist.  Sharon has worked with hundreds of children, adolescents, and adults both individually and in groups.  She especially enjoyed working with individuals and families dealing with life-threatening illnesses as well as issues of loss and bereavement.  Before retirement, Sharon frequently made professional conference presentations, conducted professional development workshops, led grief groups for schools, churches and grief camps, and consulted with peers and community agencies on grief and loss in the lives of children and adults.  She has been happily married to Ed Rugg, PhD, since 1970.  They have two grown children and a number of grandchildren.  Sharon enjoys nature, reading, arts and crafts, volunteer work, traveling, entertaining, and spending time with family.
